Winter in Misiones: Embrace Nature, Culture, and Tourism Across the Regions

Misiones is set to captivate visitors this winter season with an extensive array of experiences to enjoy the province’s natural beauty, rich culture, and tourism offerings. The premier circuits include the Saltos del Moconá, the Iguazú Falls, the Jesuit Reductions, and the Region of the Flowers as part of the winter break agenda.

Misiones has unveiled its proposal, “Winter in the Jungle. The jungle has another season,” which combines nature, culture, gastronomy, adventure, and heritage activities across the province’s four tourist regions. Tailored for both visitors and residents, the schedule promises engaging options during the winter break.

In the Northern Zone, Puerto Iguazú is a focal point with the stunning Iguazú Falls, while the circuit also encompasses the Wanda Mines and the city of Eldorado, offering outdoor and cultural activities for all ages.

The Southern Zone delivers a unique blend of historical, religious, and urban tours. In Posadas, the agenda includes cultural, recreational, and culinary endeavors, complemented by the Thematic Cross Park in Santa Ana, which provides nature-centric spaces. This circuit also incorporates the Jesuit-Guaraní Complexes of San Ignacio Miní, Santa Ana, and Loreto, celebrated for their historical and cultural importance.

Rural tourism, ecotourism, and activities for all ages take center stage in the Central Region, with Oberá and the Region of the Flowers forming part of a tourism corridor comprising ten localities. This exquisite offering features rural tourism, river tours, waterfalls, regional gastronomy, local festivals, and options for day trips or longer stays.

The Upper Uruguay corridor, including El Soberbio, San Vicente, San Pedro, Colonia Aurora, and Fracrán, brings together ecotourism, sports, gastronomy, and adventure. Notably, the Saltos del Moconá, where the Uruguay River and the jungle create one of the province’s most visited natural spectacles.

The winter schedule is further enriched with cultural, sports, and recreational events spread across various municipalities, catering specifically to children and families during school breaks.

All information on destinations, activity calendars, and available experiences in each region can be found on the official platform of Winter in Misiones, which centralizes planning for tours across different points in the province.
